The moat is just about dry at the moment but still impassable due to the thick silt into which you sink very quickly.
There is however a narrow area around the outside where you can walk so I took the opportunity today to take some photographs of the moat area whilst it is accessible at bed level.
It also enabled a few shots showing how overgrown the island is.
