This months Volunteer Day, scheduled for earlier this month, was cancelled in respect to Queen Elizabeth’s passing. However an opportunity arose with the donation of a large quantity on snowdrop bulbs, to hastily organise a two hour session today to plant them.
As it turned out this was one of the best supported volunteer events we have had.
Split into two groups, one working on the north bank of the Moat pond and the other on the south, the two and a half hour session quickly saw all the snowdrops planted.
We look forward to spring 2023 and hopefully a glorious display.
