The fist post of a series of ten “rubbing posts” was installed at the moat today.
The rubbing posts feature an embossed plaque showing the outline of a piece of wildlife found at the moat. Visitors can place a piece of paper over the plaque and by gently rubbing with a soft pencil or crayon transfer the image to the papper.
When completed there will be t0 species to collect. A workbook is available for schools to issue to pupils on organised visits to the trail.
