August Volunteers Day

Friend

After missing a month due to bad weather in July, volunteers spent last Sunday morning further developing the wild flower meadow adjacent to the Moat. We were strimming the long grass, raking up and removing the cut grass. Peter was, as always, on hand to show us the ever increasing variety of wild flowers taking root on the site.

As always cut grass was “relocated” on the site, only a bag of litter being removed from the site

On this topic we would like to thank Brooke, Lilz and Amella for “decorating” the bench on the Nature trail. Perhaps they would like to come down next month and learn some real country crafts.

Lastly it was nice to see some wildlife hopping about the meadow as we worked.

Thanks to Sue, Julie, Phil and Peter for their contribution to this on-going work
